He has a vision as what life should be
And how he could make his country free.

He knows not what lies ahead
And prays he doesnt end up dead.

Many say it's a job of little pay
Most soldiers dont care what others say.

Nights are spent on a cold hard ground
Whats even worse are the night's sounds.

There is no blue to the sky
And days seem to quickly go by.

We are often woken to a brand new task
Even days we must wear a mask.

The bombs and caose seem so loud
Unfortunately chemicals make no sound.

Lives are priceless yet are simply taken
Some of us pray just to waken.

Many wars have been fought
Innocent lives have been sought.

It takes a toll on families and lives
But the ultimate mission makes you strive.

Its the nature of the beast
But all just wish for peace.

For now we pray for all our troops who serve
And even for those who wished they had the nerve.
